It's Summer!

The semester is over at last, and I'm home! Home! I feel like I've never had a summer vacation before - I have so much to look forward to and so much to enjoy, and it's really great. And I have so much time! Maybe I'll finally be able to do most of the things I say that I want to do (like uh, finish those paintings. Hmm.) 

Anyway. I'm really excited. :D

Exams are sucking out my brains

^ In a nutshell, that is how I feel at the moment. It's like, the more that I need to know, the less I retain! Terrible. Not to mention that the sun is finally out, the birds are singing, the lake is sparkling, everything in the world is saying Go outside Nooreen, go outside and play! But alas. 

This is what is standing between me and outside (not to mention me and summer vacation):

Italian final exams - written and oral

Music final listening exam and final orchestration project

Chemistry final exam and lab

Geology final project and lab

Jury, to prove that I've improved over the semester. (<- This one terrifies me)

Finish recovering the fish samples from the January post, look at all of the data, come up with something to present to the Harvard people. (Wait, Dan (research professor), I have to do what?!)

Rah. Anyway, nothing will get done unless I do it, so I guess I should get on that. My goal is to finish my instrumentation assignment so that I can spend the weekend studying for Italian. Aaand I'm recording this so that when I start trolling the internet to find out what's changed and end up at my blog thinking that I should write something interesting, I'll come upon this and realize that until I finish my exams, there is nothing interesting to say!!! (Go back to work Nooreen!)

Ok, going now. Sorry for the lame update. :)

P.S. The index finger is not called the index finger because it's on the inside of your finger and dextrous means nimble fingers. According to a very reliable and wonderful source, it's because the latin for 'to indicate' is indicare (same as Italian! neat!) - i.e. to point -> pointer finger.
